Yes, I know I suck at posting. I keep this blog for the fun of it, not because I have tons of readers, as you can see.

So this pregnancy thing is going along great except for a couple of things…

1. Elephant Ankles–I had this when I was expecting my first, in Spain, eating peanuts, which I craved and not enough water. Now it happens pretty much if I take the afternoon to run errands, and on Saturdays and Sundays, when I like to keep busy. Oh my word, 10-12 glasses of water is a lot, but I am drinking water, like the doctor said. No peanuts this time. No salty stuff. I put my feet above my heart at least once a day–for about half an hour, but they suggest 3 times a day, and when does anybody have time for that? It’s not like I can read or do anything while I am lying there! I don’t know why it bothers me so much, but for one, they look pathetically ugly and it makes me feel like I am unhealthy. I go back to the doctor at the end of May, so I will be asking about it.

2. Constipation–see above for the drinking water part. I am also eating whole wheat bread for fiber and vegetables and fruits. Probably not as much fruits and veggies as I should, but lots of water! I won’t gross you out with the details, so just know that I am irritable and tired of being constipated!

3. Heartburn–I know all the opinions on spicy foods. I hardly ever eat spicy foods, though. Why is it when I have cereal for breakfast, I get heartburn? Why does a salad give me heartburn? Why do potatoes and all the other food I eat (except, of course, water) give me heartburn?

I’m not trying to complain here, but those 3 things are pretty much the only problems I am having this time around. I have gained weight like I should. I’m getting plenty of rest (1 hour hap a day and going to bed at a decent time) And I am eating healthy. So I’m pretty happy with the way things are going, but you want to read something, so I am sharing my ailments with the web, just for you.

We are now 25 weeks along, and on Monday, it will be 26 weeks. I can feel the baby move, and as I said, we found out it is a girl. We have gotten a car seat, stroller, swing, changing table and baby vibrating chair, from some people at church. They have a crib on sale at Target–which is exactly the kind I want! (the 4 in one kind.) At the beginning of July or end of June, when school is done, we will move Alex up to the FROG and get ready for the baby downstairs. We have to put the school room downstairs, but I think we can manage that ok. It’s not like the kids are so little they have to be supervised at all times. They have desks in their rooms and can do work in there as well.

Everything is going along swimmingly. Except for those 3 things.
