A couple of years ago, I got my hair cut really short. I absolutely loved it because it was easy to manage–I put a tiny bit of mousse in my wet hair and combed it into a style I liked. Then, by the time I got to school in the morning, it was dry and I would brush it out, so it didn’t look crusty. I had good hair days every day. Even on windy days, it looked good.

This was a good hair day.

And then I decided to try to grow my hair out. It was a long process, but finally last year, I got it the length I thought I wanted. Good hair days, however, were few and far between. This was one of the few good hair days.

It hardly ever looked like this.

So my question to you, is: Which one do you like better? I hate having a lot of maintenance with curling, drying, and primping. I would much rather leave wet and do minimal work. My hair is wavy, so it isn’t horrible to work with. I really want to get it cut, but I’m afraid I will look fat and chubby. I’m also afraid–excuse the stereotype here, but I can’t think of any other word right now–like a dyke. Or maybe I could say like a tomboyish girl? Anyway, I would appreciate your opinions, if you have any. Or even if you have a suggestion on what might look good on me, let me know.
