Today is day one of a ten to forty day detox.

I am doing the Master Cleanser or Lemonade Diet and it really isn’t a diet as much as it is a detox, but saying detox confuses people, so I will call it a diet.

I have done detoxes before, but this is the first real extended one I will do. Christmas time is probably not the best time to stop eating… actually, it is the perfect time to stop! 🙂

  1. Detoxes frighten me…rather than doing them, I’ve been upping the amount of fruit/veggies that I consume, plus avoiding anything that lists high fructose corn syrup as an ingredient.

    Except dr. pepper. Oh, how I love Dr. Pepper.

  2. Froyd: They are intense, but I have never regretted doing them in the past. I look at it rather pragmatically when it comes time to do it. I am simply giving my body a chance to recover from all the crap I force it to digest.

    A detox re-calibrates my body back to zero so to speak. I still have to change the way I eat – like you are doing – but with a detox I am giving myself the best shot at success.

    Given my lack of discipline, I need every advantage I can give myself. 🙂
