We have been finishing up the nursery at the house, and last night I showed the room to big sister. Her enthusiasm could not have been more as she excitedly exclaimed how she can’t wait for her little sister.

I wasn’t sure how she would take being unseated as the little girl in the house, but apparently she is going to be fine with it. In fact, I think she will be happy that Dad will stop embarrassing her by singing songs from High School Musical at the local Chick-fil-A.

A guy in line had a Wildcat Propeller Service sweatshirt and I broke into: “Get’ch head in the game girl, get’cha head in the game”.

The thing is, I don’t really know the words to the songs so I just make them up as I go which really makes big sister upset. She especially hates it when I sing like Zac Efron, at the start of Breaking Free. Apparently, the lyrics are important to big sister and the fact that I murder them every time has lost its charm.

Yep – she is so ready for me to start acting my age and start embarrassing the crumb cruncher for a while.

Ha!

Never!

Get’cha head in the game girl – get’cha head in the game.

  1. Yes, I can tell you’ve lost some of your charm. 🙂 She will be a wonderful big sister!!

  2. I just love that picture … 🙂 I think that the more you can embarrass a teenager the better … it builds character or something and I think that deep down they really like it.

  3. Mom: I still have all my charm – just a little more non appealing charm! 🙂

Poofer: Words to live by, and repeat when I go overboard and blame on Aunt Poofer!
