What if there is no bottom, and all we fear to believe is true
Will we stop the fall and walk away, or dive head first and feel the race
The rushing wind and pounding chest with lightning thoughts and those regrets
Loss that drives with siren calls ceaselessly slashing until we fall
Death by thousand cuts or quickly, the choice now clear arrives here swiftly
And so we reach
Stretching arms with heart in hand believing pain will have to end
To the bottom we race come heaven or hell, one last launch of our free will
The promise of an end so sweet, our weary past our feet
To know the end of wondering, regrets and loss and second guessing
And so we fall
Down to the bottom to face our fear and find the truth long hidden there
The end is just a passing through, where what was once simply starts anew
The fall I speak is not of death, or natural pit, or precipice
The bottom we fear is in ourselves where regrets and pain build up steep walls
To treacherous heights we scurried up escaping from the we built up
Atop this place where nothing touches, the price to feel now in its clutches
Cut off from life afraid to move the will to live begins to swoon
The freedom sought away from pain, drove to where only pain remains
Looking down from lofty heights the call to die gives way to flight
And so we fall
We fall to grace and hit rock bottom
And learn to live anew tomorrow
